Vernon Dobtcheff stars in "The Borgias" on Showtime as Cardinal Versucci.

Vernon Dobtcheff is a French actor with a wealth of screen and TV credits. Dobtcheff's film credits include his screen debut in "The Taming of the Shrew" in 1967, "Them," "The Day of the Jackal," "The Spy Who Loved Me," starring Roger Moore, "The Name of the Rose," starring Sean Connery, "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," starring Harrison Ford, and "Before Sunset."

Dobtcheff made his first TV appearance in 1972 in PBS's "Great Performances" as Melba. Since then, Dobtcheff has appeared in, among many other programs, ITC's "The Protectors," "Killers," BBC's "Romeo & Juliet," BBC's "An Englishman Abroad," "The Return of Sherlock Holmes," ABC's miniseries "War and Remembrance," CBS's movie "The Plot to Kill Hitler," "Highlander," NBC's TV movie "The Odyssey" and HBO's "Rome."

On stage Dobtcheff starred in Friedrich Schiller's "Mary Stewart" in 1961 and in Leon Griffith's "The Game as Played" in 1965.
