Victoria Platt stars in "The Gates" on ABC as Peg Mueller.

Victoria Platt is perhaps best known for playing Vicky Spaulding #2 in CBS's daytime soap opera "Guiding Light" from 1998 to 2001. She also played Corinne on "All My Children."

Victoria developed an interest in acting after attending a class with her older sister when she was 8 years old. After years of studying acting and dancing, the actress made her Broadway debut as Amede in "Jelly's Last Jam," a role which she played throughout the show's entire run. Her other theater credits include off-Broadway productions of "2 Divas & The Dog," "Dreamgirls" and "Conrack," for which she won an AUDELCO Award. She also appeared in regional productions of "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "The Hot Mikado."

A life-long fascination with Josephine Baker helped to prepare Victoria for her portrayal of the singer in the HBO film, "Winchell." The actress also appeared in "Alma's Rainbow," "'Round Midnight," "Boomerang" and "Tap Rap."

On the small screen, Victoria has guest starred on such shows as "Strong Medicine," "Crossing Jordan," "CSI: Miami," "The $treet," "Cosby," 'The Cosby Show," "Beyond Belief" and "Sesame Street."

In her spare time, Victoria has worked on a number of screenplays. The actress has also studied swing, tap, jazz, ballet and African dance. She enjoys cooking and hiking.

On Christmas Day 2000, "Guiding Light" co-star Terrell Tilford (David) proposed marriage to Platt. She accepted and the pair married in November 2001.
