Vincent Powell from "American Idol 2012" is rumored to be one of the top 60 contestants in Season 11 of the FOX reality singing competition.

Vincent Powell ("American Idol") is a gospel and jazz singer who grew up in Austin, Texas, singing in his church choir under the leadership of JDI recording artist Chester D.T. Baldwin. Powell placed first in the NAACP Act-SO competition in Austin and was a finalist at the national level twice. He is also a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.

Powell is currently a student at Texas Southern University where he is majoring in Music Education (Opera) and participating in the gospel choir Living Testimony.

He released a CD called "A Classic Christmas."
