Waylon Buras ("Ragin' Cajuns"), captain of the Miss Carmine, has been a shrimp fanatic since his first boat at the age of 12. Raised in Venice, Louisiana, he comes from a long line of fisherman. He is the last to keep the Buras family of fisherman legacy alive.
Waylon has the most tricked-out boat in the fleet. The so-called "Big Dog" has equipped his Miss Carmine with top-of-the-line radar and weather equipment, allowing him to stay out shrimping for days at a time.
When he's not shrimping, Waylon enjoys frogging and mud boating, a Cajun pastime that involves racing motorboats in the mud to see how much mud you can kick up without getting stuck.
