Wayne Rycraft's 27 years of experience earns him the respect of his roughneck crew, who call him dad. Despite the $40,000 a day it costs to run the rig, Wayne is very laid back (and not a huge fan of management). Being 20 years older than any other roughnecks on his crew makes Wayne a father figure who is protective of "his boys." Wayne understands the dangers of a rig all too well, as one of his close friends was recently crushed to death on a different rig. He feels that it's his responsibility to make sure that never happens to one of his boys.
