Wes Ramsey stars in "The Playboy Club" on NBC as Max, the handsome bartender with a big heart. He also recently starred in NBC's thriller series "The Event" as Greg Kervin.

Wes Ramsey was born in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was raised the middle of three boys. He discovered his passion for the theater at the age of 12 during a three week summer class at Walden Theater in his home town. He was so taken by the art, he enrolled full time in the fall where he remained for the next seven years, taking classes and performing in shows.

In 1996, Wes auditioned and was accepted into the 29th group to enter the drama division of the Juilliard School in New York City where he spent the next four years continuing to study and pursue his love of acting and proudly graduated in the year 2000 with a BFA degree. Wes's first professional job after completing his training at Juilliard was being cast to play Sam Spencer on "The Guiding Light" where he remained for the next two years learning about working in front of a camera.

In 2002, Wes left New York to further explore television and film in Los Angeles. His first film, "Latter Days," captured a raw yet refined performance he is forever proud of and showcased for the first time to the world the diversity in Wes's dedication to his work. He has since shot numerous other independent films as well as films for the Syfy network. His television credits have expanded as well with memorable appearances on such shows as "Days of Our Lives," the FOX sitcom "Luis," as well as recurring roles on hit shows such as "Charmed" and "CSI: Miami." Wes has also guest starred on such hit shows as "Heroes," "CSI: NY" & "House."
