Will Mellor stars in "Broachchurch" on BBC America as Stephen Turner.

British actor Will Mellor appeared and gained acclaim in the UK series, "Hollyoaks," playing the part of James "Jambo" Bolton for three years until leaving the show in 1998. His musical career took off soon after when he released the single "When I Need You," which reached #5 in the UK charts, as well as a follow-up single called "No Matter What I Do," which reached #23.

Mellor got further involved in the music business when he made an appearance in the music video for Boyzone's Comic Relief single ''When the Going Gets Tough."

He returned to acting soon after, playing Greg, in "Is Harry on the Boat?" He also played Jack Vincent in "Casualty," between 2001 and 2003, and has starred as Gaz Wilkinson in the comedy "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps" since 2001.

Mellor made a brief cameo reappearance in a Christmas edition of "Hollyoaks," in which he played the ghost of Jambo (although his character isn't dead). Mellor stared as ''Barmpot'' in postal worker drama "Sorted" and has also played DC Jed Griffiths in the second series of "Murder Investigation Team."

In 2003 Mellor won the very first series of the BBC singing contest, "Comic Relief does Fame Academy," in aid of Comic Relief.

In 2007 Mellor was featured in four episodes of "Eastenders," playing a flirty sales rep who takes a shine to Carly (Kellie Shirley).

More recently Mellor starred in ITV's comedy "White Man Van" and BBC's comedy "In with the Flynns." He has also made guest appearances in "Waterloo Road," "Unforgiven," "Merlin," "Harley Street" and "The Street."
