William Ainscough stars in "Seed" on The CW as Billy, who is an oddball kid, playing to the beat of his own drum.

Born in Vancouver to parents in the entertainment industry — actress Nicole Oliver, and composer/film editor Chris Ainscough — William Ainscough has made short work of realizing his dream of being an actor.

In May 2012, Ainscough answered an open casting call notice for the feature film, "Hidden." Directed by the Duffer brothers, "Hidden" centers around a family hiding in a bomb shelter after escaping a mysterious outbreak. Ainscough was successful in landing the role of Joey, a slightly shy, soulful boy and close friend and neighbour of Zoe's (Emily Alyn Lind). The film also stars Alexander Skarsgard ("True Blood," "Battleship") and Andrea Riseborough ("W.E.," "Never Let Me Go"). Ainscough's second audition was for the role of Billy in "Seed."

Ainscough is an accomplished drummer, loves soccer and baseball, and is a huge fan of the online game "Minecraft." Ainscough lives in Vancouver, with his younger brother, Grady, and his parents.
