Willie Garson stars in USA Network's "White Collar" as Mozzie.

Throughout his career, Willie Garson played many supporting parts, but his undeniable screen presence shined beyond the size of the role given him. The talented actor was rarely at a loss for work, appearing in over 200 television episodes of a wide variety of programming. Willie Garson's unorthodox bald and bespectacled look won over fans most famously on "Sex and the City," where he played Carrie Bradshaw's gay best friend, Stanford Blatch.

Willie Garson was born in Highland Park, New Jersey, and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1992 then started training at the Actors Institute in New York when he was only 13. Willie Garson majored in theater and psychology at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Willie Garson also studied at the prestigious Yale Drama School, appearing in a number of plays along the way where he was consistently singled out for his work. After graduation, Willie Garson found his love for acting outweighed his psychology studies.

After graduation, Willie Garson quickly landed guest spots and recurring roles on some of television's most popular and top-rated shows, such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Friends," "The X-Files," "The Practice," "Just Shoot Me," "Party of Five," "Melrose Place," and "Ally McBeal."

In addition to Stanford on HBO's "Sex and the City", another one of Willie Garson's memorable characters is Henry, detective Simone's (Jimmy Smits) low-rent apartment owner/tenant and reluctant friend for 3 seasons of "NYPD Blue." Willie Garson has also had starring roles in the series "Boy Meets World,"  "Star Trek: Voyager," "The X-Files," "Ask Harriet," his very popular recurring character "Marty" on "Stargate SG-1," as well as the highly acclaimed Steven Spielberg miniseries, "Taken." Willie Garson recently finished his latest HBO series, "John From Cincinnati", executive produced by David Milch.

On the big screen, Willie Garson made a few good friends in high places, collaborated with offbeat and innovative directors Bobby and Peter Farrelly in three of their films. During the triple turn of hilarity, Willie Garson appeared in "Kingpin," "There's Something about Mary" and "Fever Pitch." Willie Garson also appeared in several quirky ensemble comedies such as the feature films "Soapdish," "Mars Attacks" and "Being John Malkovich." Willie Garson's other film credits include "Groundhog Day," "Untamed Heart," "The Rock," "Play it to the Bone," Mike Nichols' "What Planet Are You From?," Disney's remake of "Freaky Friday," "A Problem with Fear," "Little Manhattan," "The TV Set" and many others.

At home on the stage as much as he is on TV and in film, Willie Garson continues to perform with various bicoastal theater companies in New York and Los Angeles, and was a member of prestigious groups such as Naked Angels, the Manhattan Theater Club, the Roundabout Theater and the Geffen Playhouse.

Willie Garson is involved in numerous community and charity organizations—from Big Brothers to Young Artists United, a nationwide group aimed at communication and problem-solving among teens. Willie Garson is also involved in Aspen Youth Experience, Joslin Diabetes Center and AMFAR. The big-hearted thespian also read to first graders weekly through the Screen Actor's Guild "Bookpals" program.

Aside from acting on TV and the big screen, Willie Garson also found success as a celebrity poker player. In 2003, "Evil Willie" (a nickname given to Willie Garson for his fierce card playing) won his round of Texas Hold 'Em on Bravo's addictive hit show "Celebrity Poker Showdown."
