Woody Allen is the writer and director of "To Rome with Love." He also stars in the movie as Jerry, alongside Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwith and Ellen Page.

Allen most recently won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his romantic comedy "Midnight in Paris," which was also nominated for Best Director and Best Picture.

Woody Allen is one of the most honored and successful filmmaker/actors in the industry. He won dual Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, in addition to being nominated for Best Actor, for the classic hit comedy "Annie Hall," which also received the Oscar for the Best Picture of 1977. Of these, he also starred in "Manhattan," "Broadway Danny Rose," "Crimes and Misdemeanors," "Husbands and Wives," "Mighty Aphrodite" and "Deconstructing Harry."

Allen's multi-faceted film credits also include writing, directing and starring in "Sccop," "Anything Else," "Hollywood Ending," "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion," "Small Time Crooks," "Deconstructing Harry," "Everyone Says I Love You," "Manhattan Murder Mystery," "New York Stories," "Stardust Memories," "Love and Death" and "Sleeper," among others. He recently wrote and directed such films as "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger," "Whatever Works," "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," "Cassandra's Dream," "Melinda and Melinda," "Sweet and Lowdown" and "Celebrity." He also wrote and starred in such films as "What's New Pussycat?" and "Play it Again, Sam."

In addition, he starred in the films "The Front" and "Scenes from a Mall," and also appeared in "Casino Royale."
